MARIAN BACHE, REAL ESTATE BROKER, ROYAL LEPAGE Consistently Performs Top 3%

MARIAN BACHE

Marian Bache

Khalil Gibran, author of The Prophet, famously said, “There are those who give with joy, and that joy is their reward.” Realtor Marian Bache begins every day in quiet contemplation and gratitude for her many blessings of health, friendships, family and extended family, and the opportunities she has been given to serve the real estate needs of many G.T.A. families, executives and other high-profile personalities.

Marian was born and raised in St. George’s, Newfoundland. In some ways she is a typical Maritimer – warm, engaging, guileless and blessed with a courageous spirit. No one consistently performs in the top 3% in Canada without putting in a sizeable investment of time and effort.

As a single mother of three sons under ten years of age, it took a great deal of courage and determination for Marian to move from the corporate world at King and Bay, into what was a very male dominated real estate industry at the time.

At the age of 25, Marian sold her first home, reaffirming that this was her true calling and passion. Fast forward 28 years, Marian has proven that she is just as passionate and dedicated to her clients, and has an expert level of skill that most realtors can only aspire to have.

The expert level of skill, passion and drive are what has earned Marian the achievements of being in the Top 1% tier of her peers. Her accolades don’t end there. She has been awarded the Lifetime Award of Excellence, which speaks to the consistency of her achievements, as well as the Chairman’s Club designation, awarded to the top level of achievers in the company.

According to Marian, “it is important to work with an agent who is involved in the business on a full time basis, and who isn’t confined to just one neighborhood.” She believes that if you want to help people successfully upsize, downsize or invest, you have to understand the broad scope of what is going on and what your clients want to achieve.

“Like I tell the new agents I mentor, you should keep up to date on the latest trends, and have resources available for your clients so that you can immediately connect them to the right channels. For Marian, commissions were never a defining point. In fact, she mentors agents to understand that commissions are only a byproduct of success and not the definition of it. “Agents should be thinking about the needs and feelings of their clients,” Marian explains. She accredits this philosophy as the reason behind her success and the driving force to building a business that has serviced three generations of clients.

Marian admits to being a perfectionist, a trait that ensures she gets the job done right. “In real estate, timing is everything. Because I want to do the best possible job for my clients, it is crucial to keep my finger firmly on the pulse of the different Toronto and G.T.A. neighbourhoods. This research allows me to properly counsel and advise my buyers and my sellers about the different options they have available,” she explains. Being a “transitional realtor” means being able to service clients across a large spectrum of markets, and for Marian, it is a part of what she does differently.

“I make it a priority to become intimate with the neighborhoods my clients show interest in. You can imagine the depth of knowledge I have about the GTA from my 28 years of experience. Everything from schools to transit to walk scores to features. This information helps me guide my buyer clients towards the purchase that is right for them, while understanding the needs of today’s buyers so that I can effectively market the homes of my seller clients."

It is clear from the many glowing testimonials on her website that this is not an idle boast. When describing what it is like to work with Marian, Lynn Wylde, an exceptionally satisfied client says, “When my Dad moved in to a retirement home, my sister and I became responsible for selling his condo. After trying to sell it ourselves and subsequently, having met with several agents from various companies, we selected Marian Bache from Royal LePage. She was the most professional, respectful, calming and confident out of an impressive group of agents. She also knew the area and the building inside and out, which was a tremendous bonus. I think we signed with Marian on a Wednesday, had her professional Stager in on Thursday; the Photographer in on Friday, and the Open House on Saturday and Sunday. The condo was sold well over asking the following Thursday. I spoke with many of the building residents who came through the suite during the Open House and everyone had wonderful things to say about her professionalism as well. She is a superstar...”

Her clients consistently tell her that they get a sense of comfort and trustworthiness when working with her. “I educate my clients from the ground up, and am happy to share the depth and breadth of my knowledge and experience. I always follow up and focus on ensuring they my clients not only feel, but know that they are my priority. Time is our most valuable commodity and the time I spend with my clients removes unnecessary stress and frustration they may otherwise experience. This gift is the reason Marian is able to call many of her clients close friends.

In getting to know Marian, you will see that she doesn’t play games. You will never catch her neglecting her clients and colleagues by not returning calls and she is speedy on her text and email replies as well. “Follow up is critical to the business. I take pride in making sure my clients know exactly what is happening at every given moment,” she says. “The relationships I nurture with clients, affiliate professionals such as lawyers and mortgage brokers, as well as my colleagues, helps me build a network with like-minded people. These people share my goal for exceeding expectations and delivering results,” Marian adds.

Marian credits her professional staff, Tania, Anna, Elizabeth, and her marketing team, Jimmy and Adrian, all of whom have worked with her for many years, for making her extraordinary success possible. “Long-term relationships are so important and my clients really do appreciate working with a team that cares,” she adds.

In addition to working as an award winning broker, Marian proudly supports the Heart & Stroke Foundation, the Cancer Society, The Scott Mission and various other charities - a reflection of her soft hearted nature.

Marian finds her greatest success in her family. Her son James, is a real estate investor and general contractor and Dad to her grandpuppy “Bauer” - a six-year-old, mini Australian Shepherd. Bauer joins the family at the cottage in the summer where he proudly protects the family from red squirrels! Her son Daniel, is an advertising executive based in Toronto. Daniel and his wife Connie have given Marian a beautiful 15-month granddaughter Kiera, reminding everyone what truly is important in life. And, her son Brad, is a culinary expert and chef based out of Edmonton.

Marian and Stan, her partner and best friend of 14 years, enjoy their family time more than anything. “I am so joyful and grateful that I have been able to build a life filled with so much accomplishment and love,” Marian says.
