My Business Magazine caught up with Leon to ask him about his team, his success, and what makes him stand above the rest.
MBM: Tell me about how your team works.
Leon: We’re very strategic in how we operate our day to day business. We mainly focus and specialize in residential resales, investment acquisitions and luxury home sales across the GTA with a primary focus in North Toronto. We have worked extremely hard and are proud and fortunate enough to have an incredibly large network of buyers and sellers who trust us with their most expensive assets. We have team members who specialize in first time home buyers for example, while others specialize in investment properties, luxury homes, leasing, VIP Condo purchases, etc. We are a full-service team of professionals with superior connections within the industry and have tried and tested every method to have it running the way it is, like a well-oiled machine. We’re very strategized, but more importantly, we’re very transparent with everyone we work with.

MBM: What do you see in the market in the next year?
Leon: 2017 is going to be another record breaking year. We will be seeing another increase of 15 - 30 per cent inflation rates in certain pockets across the city. Torontonian's have had so many regrets over the past twenty years, thinking that prices were going to come down, but they haven’t. If you look at the top 10 hot spots around the world: Toronto, Vancouver, China, New York, Chicago, California, etc., we are still the most affordable and the least expensive. The best time to buy was always 5 years ago and you can never buy the same house for the same money twice. Every time a house sells, the neighboring comparable expects thousands of dollars more for the same property; it’s definitely a time to get your feet into the market if you haven't already.
MBM: What kinds of things do you do to keep you and your team up to date in the real estate industry?
Leon: I am a true believer in continuing education and ongoing training. We do one-on- one training with some of the best real estate coaches in North America. We attend conferences,network with other real estate professionals, and always keep learning from our colleagues whether lawyers, mortgage brokers, or home inspectors. We are designated Real Estate Negotiation Experts (RENE) and Certified Luxury Home Specialists. I’ve come to learn that when it comes to a successful real estate transaction, it’s imperative that you have a reliable, up-to-date and knowledgeable group of professionals on your side.
MBM: What’s the secret to your success?
Leon: No secrets. My company’s philosophy has always been to be the best we can possibly be to our clients. The better we are at what we do, the more success we bring our clients and the happier they are. The knowledge and expertise we have to offer, alongside the honesty and integrity that are not often found in our industry are key factors that we bring to the table. We’re huge on technology and put a lot of our resources in the right places. We know that 90 per cent of home buyers begin their searches online, and that’s a tool we utilize more than our competitors.Above all, my team and I keep very organized with our data base and client needs.
We do our due diligence and always follow up with past clients. We make sure to maintain good relationships with people we have worked with. We know every client has very different needs from the next and we are very personable with people’s specifics. People appreciate that and choose to continuously have the Klaiman Group represent them. Always being one step ahead of the game is what we’re all about and has helped us become the number one team and helped me become the number three agent in 2016 at our office.
