JULIE GOFMAN Canada's top R.E. Agent "U
Julie Gofman
Ayn Rand, novelist and philosopher, once said, “The question is not who is going to let me; it’s who is going to stop me.” The real estate field was
a natural fit for Julie Gofman, an ambitious, stay- at-home mom who wanted a career that allowed her the freedom to spend quality time with her children.
Since she entered the industry more than two decades ago, no one and nothing have stopped Julie from getting the highest offers for her sellers or from finding the perfect homes for her buyers. A long list of satisfied clients provide a compelling testimonial to the veracity of her approach and experience.
The Elite Diamond Award of Distinction Winner from Forest Hill Realty believes her willingness to embody the Golden Rule, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you,” has fueled her success. She clearly understands the fine art of luxury home marketing and consistently performs in the top one percent of the more than 43,000 licensed realtors in the Greater Toronto Area. Moreover, her listings have sold for more than double the average selling price of all of the listings on The Toronto Real Estate Board (TREB).
Her clients benefit from an email database of highly qualified potential buyers, sellers and investors from all over the world. She consistently sells multi-million dollar properties and strategically navigates complex transactions with her signature poise and finesse. Perhaps that explains why one of the real estate magazines called her a “virtuoso.”
Julie has an extensive professional network - other real estate agents often call her to ask for advice on listings or to invite her to co-list properties with them. “We do not market all high-end homes in newspapers these days,” she says. “It’s really about networking with real estate agents and knowing
who and where the buyers are.”
In today’s fast moving and complex real estate climate, a high level of expertise is critical for success. “Knowledge is crucial, especially because the majority of today’s deals are complicated,” Julie explains. “Every seller and every buyer have a unique set of financial circumstances. A deeply experienced broker not only recognizes and knows the triggers, he or she
knows what to do about them,” she adds.
During negotiations, Julie is completely focused on protecting her clients’ interests and for solving problems in a way that, “Everyone feels like they are getting a fair deal,” she says. She instinctively knows when it’s appropriate to sign- back an offer (“Always!” she quips) and what it will take to ensure that both the buyer and the seller walk away feeling positive about the transaction.
Julie Gofman has built her business almost exclusively on referrals and repeat business. One Forest Hill family has bought and sold seven properties with Julie in the last ten years alone. “I do not set monetary goals,” Julie says. “My goal is to have my buyer or my seller happy and satisfied with the transaction. That’s more important to me than anything else.”
Whether she is selling a ten million dollar home or a $700,000 high-rise condominium in mid-town Toronto, Julie is focused on doing the right thing for the client, even if that involves driving for hours for a face-to-face meeting or waking up at four in the morning to complete an international call.
No wonder her clients describe her as one of the most honest, respected and upbeat real estate agent in the prestigious neighborhoods of Toronto.
In addition to buying and selling real estate, her full service team is also available to advise clients on design ideas. The team also maintains a roster of trusted suppliers so that clients can access the services they need to prepare their homes for listing and to ensure their properties are kept in great condition throughout the sales cycle.
Julie brings the same unstoppable energy to her volunteer and charitable activities. She currently supports The Baycrest,Princess Margaret and Mount Sinai Hospitals, Sick Kids Foundation, the Jewish National Fund, and the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, among many others .
She is a professional member of the Toronto Real Estate Board and the Ontario Real Estate Association, and is an affiliated member of both, “Who’s Who in Luxury Real Estate,”and the International Association of Realtors. Her peers alsorecognize Julie Gofman as an unstoppable force. Most recently, she was featured in, “Top Agent Magazine” the only real estatemagazine written for top real estate agents about top real estateagents. The magazine consists of a series of interviews withthe top producing, and most accomplished professionals in thereal estate and mortgage industries in Canada, the United States,Europe, and Australia. “Sharing column inches with some of the best agents in the world was a most gratifying and humbling experience,” says Julie Gofman
.Julie attributes her ongoing success to her experience, to her willingness to ‘sweat the small stuff,’ and to her focus on treating home buyers and home sellers in the same way that she treats her beloved family members. She also credits her family with ensuring she keeps moving forward. In conclusion she says, “I am committed to earning your trust and to doing whatever it takes to embody my business tag line - “Trusted.Respected. Recommended.“
